Met Gala 2013

It was the Met Ball yesterday! The prestigious annual fashion event hosted by Vogue and the devil-wears-prada-inspiration Anna Wintour looked as spectacular as ever. The ‘night of all nights’ for fashion is a celebration of all things fashion, god knows I’d love an invite one day! Now each year there is a theme – this year’s was punk – and obviously some stars didn’t get into the spirit and instead dressed in the latest designer dresses but others actually embraced the wonderful theme.

Here are some of my favourite gowns from the night:

Well it wouldn't be punk without some Vivienne Westwood would it?

Oh they look amazing don’t they? Now I know there were a lot of fashion disasters last night *cough*Madonna*cough*Kim Kardashian*cough* oh please excuse me I’m getting a terrible cough… And if you search ‘Met Gala’ loads of worst dressed lists appear, which I just think is a bit sad. I’m not going to bitch about the worst dressed of the night here because this is ‘A Lot of Lovely Things’ not a lot of bitchy, natsy things. There’s too much hate in the world for my liking so lets just celebrate the good. And these ladies certainly looked fabulous!
