Review | Clinique three-step skincare

???????????????????????????????You may or may not have read (in this post right here) that I have been giving the Clinique three-step skincare range a go.

The Clinique three-step range is one of their best selling ranges – many of my friends rave about it so naturally I was intrigued to give it a go. I bought their sample size products (4-6weeks worth) and I’ve just finished them so I’m ready to deliver my verdict…

I am a very disappointed fan. I just don’t like the range.

This may shock a few so let’s go through this product by product:

Liquid Facial Soap Mild
– This is soap. That’s all it is, and for me, I don’t feel this does any more than a normal soap or face wash you can get from Boots for a few quid. I didn’t feel it was particularly nourishing, moisturising, it is just a soap.

Clarifying Lotion
– This is the chemical exfoliant which comes with the kit and I actually quite like this. I’d never used a chemical exfoliant before but I feel it tightens my skin and clears imperfections.

Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion
– I do not like this moisturiser. It is greasy, it doesn’t absorb into my skin well at all and it just didn’t leave my skin looking nice at all really. This was the most disappointing product of the three, really not good for my skin.

Overall, whilst I liked the exfoliant, I didn’t like the other two stages of the three-step range. And for the money (about £60 for a full set), I would not buy this again. I don’t feel my skin is in any better condition, in fact in the first two weeks of use I had a bit of a breakout. My skin was just a bit dull. Perhaps, my skin just doesn’t suit the range, because as mentioned previously some of my friends rave about the range.

As I said earlier, I am a disappointed fan because I do really like Clinique as a brand. I love their foundation and mascaras so I was really hoping for more from their skincare range.

Have you tried Clinique’s three-step range? What did you think of it? Leave links and comments below as I’d love to know your thoughts!
