My Mac palette

IMG_07699999

I simply adore Mac eyeshadows. I consider them the best eyeshadows around – they are beautifully pigmented, come in the most fantastic colours and generally look stunning! I have pretty oily eyelids so I use Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base (which is incredible by the way!)

But back to Mac, I finished my first eyeshadow palette the other day so I thought I’d share with you all my satisfaction, pride and the beauty of the thing.

Most of the palette is fairly neutral, focusing on the golden-brown and plum-pink shades of neutral!

Top row (l-r): Phloof!, Grain, Naked Lunch, Arena, Omega Middle row (l-r): Patina, Woodwinked, Mulch, Sable, Antiqued Bottom row (l-r): Mystery, Club, Cranberry, Sketch, Carbon

As you can tell, Naked Lunch is well loved! I wear it all over the lid with either Cranberry or Sable in the crease. Woodwinked was my very first Mac eyeshadow and I love it dearly, I wear it on its own and as you work the eyeshadow into the crease it almost changes colour into a deep orange/rust colour which compliments the shimmery gold over the lid. A brilliant eyeshadow!

Omega is for my eyebrows and Phloof! is my inner eye and brow bone highlight.
I use Grain, Patina and Arena as everyday colours with Mystery, Mulch or Antiqued in the crease if I want to give more depth. Sable and Antiqued are great all over the lid colours to make my blue eyes really stand out. Club and Sketch are stunning and I often wear them when going out for a more dramatic look.

Mystery and Carbon are great for smokey eyes and brilliant used as eyeliners, they give a much softer finish which I love!

Basically I love them all and I use them all (which is probably more important). As I’ve got older I’ve realised that paying for quality products is much more worthwhile and though these eyeshadows are not cheap they are such good quality that I don’t mind paying a bit extra.

I hope you like my palette! What do you think of Mac eyeshadows? Do you love them as much as I do? Leave me links and comments below as I’d love to see your palettes!
